Everyone has dreams, and I love to share mine with my grandpa. Wait, does grandpa have his own dreams?
When grandparents become the main carer of grandchildren, in addition to adapting to the new rhythm of life, they must also re-understand the social requirements for parenting, inevitably adding pressure to themselves.
After raising their own children, the grandparents once again dedicate their energy and time, and shoulder the responsibility of taking care of their grandchildren. In the skipped generation relationship, grandparents prefer to accompany rather than discipline with a child; however, when their grandchildren encounter problems, grandparents will blame themselves for their poor care.
The maintenance of family relationship is all about giving and appreciating. When we pay attention to child-rearing, we should also care for personal goals and emotional needs of grandparents.
