While preparing for the exhibition at the Toronto Public Library, I was anxious and struggled with the decision of whether to stay in Toronto. I have been thinking a lot about what humans and other creatures have in common. The drawing with repetitive pen strokes shows my mental status: living with anxiety while wrestling with bad thoughts through repetitive pen strokes. Raccoons, I, and many people in the city always seek a refuge to hide from dangers.

The drawing developed from what I saw while taking a walk in midtown. I want to connect with those struggling for refuge, like me, by showcasing my work in a public exhibition space.
